Default Buying my way through PvE

Flamers: A warning. If you get this post deleted with your negative flames and I will hunt you down in real life and make you drink spoiled milk, you little brat. It seems many of the negative types are just looking for an excuse to wield their Self-Righteous Mursaat Hammer of Ignorance. The sheer amount of obsequious posters and this mass sycophantic behaviour on the forum is scary. Please stop it. (and now most of them are pulling up dictionary.com and piping those two words in.) Seriously if you can't offer any useful post content, why are you posting at all? Do you like reading your own words in print or something? If you're going to post negative content, fine, but at least offer something to discuss or debate or do us all a favor and... ah, nevermind.

In short: Don't be an idiot. Police yourself. Stop making the mods do it.

------------

Boredom is dangerous...

Having done PvE 5 times "the way it was intended" and unlocking my account about 98% (every skill, every elite, every rune. only missing a couple upgrades.) I'm also looking for stupid... yes, it's freakin' stupid and we all know it... stupid ways to entertain myself. As you may or may not know, I've discovered the farming-for-challenge addiction recently due to boredom, and that led to some insights and changed opinions re: farmers.

Anyway, I'm currently paying my way through the entire game. Yep. Paying. Not just a run somewhere... oh no. I'm paying for everything. I am trying to do as little as possible. I'm paying for taxi runs, sure, but also paying for missions and bonuses do be done while I /dance at the start, paying to be carried through cleared zones with dead bosses to signet.

It's actually difficult. Paying for Great Northern Wall mission and bonus was 500 but some of it I've paid lots for; total spent so far is 22k cash. Gave one kid an etco for a particularly long event. Also some of it I've traded services for, like showing someone how to solo large ice imp mobs to farm frigid hearts for a free ride somewhere, etc.

Hmm. A screenshot. O.K. My favourite "runner" screenshot has got to be the map... only exposed around the portals, since you're not moving all that much.

Some of it is more fun just because of the human ego aspect regarding "professional" services. I'll pay you 2x the going rate, but if you fall even once you get nothing. Agreed? Ready? GO!

See now this is fun. I get a real kick out of weird gaming achievements. Just eh... don't ask me for any help.

lol - I know the feeling.
I've only completed the game a couple of times because I'm sidetracked on trying new things - like soloing as many missions as I can and figuring out odd ways of making gold.

Out of curiosity, how is this affecting your levelling?

Funniest damned thing I've heard in a while, because of the novelty. Now if everyone starts trying to do it... then it could get old fast.

Badly I expect since its running without doing missions, quests and even kill enemies so there is almost no XP gain.

The game IS boring after we finished it first time, I completed with one character, managed to put another in South Shiverpeeks and I am tired of doing things with my 3rd character (a ranger) that is not even in Kryta yet.

Well, it affects levelling definitely. I'm only getting xp when the mission and bonues are completed, or when combat happens close enough to me that I leech it. But once I ascend (since I can't pay someone for that short of giving them my PW) it'll be lost in the mix. I'll probably go back and do the quests that give you skills after Hell's simply because it's easier and faster than earning 20k for each skill point.

[soapbox]
re: the warning, it was timing - there was a post deleted a few minutes ago by ShinJin Kahn, it got so out of control with everyone screaming at the poor guy and all he wanted was to show off a little bit; it got me mad. Poor kid, just because some of us have been around long enough to be entertained with alternative gameplaying, he just wanted to post a "look at me look at me!" thing... and everyone exploded on the poor guy. It's hard not to be jaded... but we all must strive.

What really pisses me off about these little kids who think they can say anything, is the total disrespect for GWG as a community but moreso the mods themselves. As if it's some AI script that detects the jerks and deletes the posts. No, it's a human. A human you owe more than time and money. But they'll never recognize this, so the words are wasted on them.

Pfff... So, to summarize you're bored with GW but have a difficult time letting go. I'm still not clear on why the rest of the world should care?

So, to summarize, you're a troll. Please, please don't troll.
There's plenty of lvl30 Unimaginitive Gurutrolls in this zone already.

It's a story. A tale related to GW. If it doesn't interest you PLEASE by all means click Back and continue your thread reading in a more interesting topic. I won't feel offended. Really.
